When we research the word father, we find several meanings.  When we look up the word fatherhood, there is only one.  THE CONDITION OF BEING A FATHER:  Are you in shape?

Many men have helped to create a being, but have we been instrumental in their development?  We have obviously cultivated a relationship with our children's mother on an intimate level, even if only short lived.  But have we put that same amount of energy and tenacity into building a solid relationship with our offspring?  Do we recognize, and accept that we have a responsibility to our children;  to put them in the best possible situation to be productive, successful, citizens in society, and if so, are we doing what we need to do to ensure that our plans are made manifest through our work?

What is it that we need to do?  How do we become the fathers that our children need us to be?  Of course, there is no single solution.  But together we can share wisdom learned from successes, as well as failures.  Allow us to seek solutions with openness, honesty, and sincerity.  We must look deep within ourselves if we hope to bring out the best we have to offer, in what so many of us have in common...FATHERHOOD!
