Profound Prisoners is a forum for counter-speech, and a platform for forward thinking.
We will be consistent, our sources delved in facts, but be forewarned, this website may have facts and opinions that may upset
you. Some of the stories may even be a revelation to you. Because unfortunately, we are taught at a very young
age that prisoners are the scum of the earth, and some are. Nevertheless, we can't continue to blame others. When
there is a problem we must check with ourselves first. As Profound Prisoners we have made a decision, a vow even,
to make our world a better place, starting with ourselves.
Profound is defined
as the extending to, or coming from a great depth; deep. Coming from the depths of one's being. Penetrating
beyond what is superficial or obvious. It can also be said to not complain about one's situation unless you are
willing to take the necessary action to find a solution. Profound Prisoners have chose the latter. We do not wait
on others to do what we can do for ourselves.
Unfortunately, it's easy to
allow cynicism to speak for you in places like prison. Most prisoners no longer look to virtue for guidance or as a
teacher. Instead they would rather deal and entertain pleasures, which they create and indulge in until the end of their
lives. They will justify and even defend their position, even as prisoners. They continue to declare change is
not possible, even if they try. They'll shout and stomp the ground and do the opposite, which can be counter-productive.
Most prisoners have convinced themselves that they have no obligation to society, state or family, because these things give
rise to desires and tasks that cannot be satisfied.
Profound Prisoners refuse
to indulge in such behavior. We have come to question how meaningful the current outlets for information have become.
Freedom of the press doesn't belong to those who own the printing press anymore. Although being prisoners has limited
us in getting involved in politics, we can still do our part. Profound Prisoners will attempt to educate in a way that
is enlightening, as well as necessary. There is hidden information, distortion of the truth, lies, myths and misconceptions
that have saturated our minds. Contrary to popular belief, prisoners do play a major role in society, we are still a
part of the social order.
Profound Prisoners will give a version of reality that
you may not want to hear, but need to know. Is the status-quot media manipulation the only perspective that we, as a
society, need to have to help us shape our opinion of the direction our country is headed? Are we allowing our own political
ideological prejudgements to prevent us from acknowledging human fallibility, thus keeping us captive and imprisoned in our
minds? Well, you don't need concrete for that. Profound Prisoners will take every necessary step to ensure
that we have done our part to break the cycle of robotic thinking based on misguided programming.
